After watching the market action this past Friday, I can't say it's a good time to be a bull. Or at least a short term bull. No, the action on Friday was downright ugly and I don't see it getting better anytime soon. Instead, I'll be surprised if we don't see more of a pullback. Maybe not immediately, but the trend is no clear: down is in the cards.
As for last week's picks, if it was a short, it was pretty much a winner. Sometimes a big winner. And thankfully, many picks where shorts! Winners were SCL, BRCM, SOHU, ETH, JOSB, DTG, AJG, PEET, and ATI. Losers were MTX, ACM, TNC, CE, GNTX, and GVA. The rest -- VPRT, CMCO, OMI, LFUS, and MOD -- were fairly flat.
